Its the AVX for me...Love the lower spin off the driver and long irons. My ball flight is SUPER high so I don't really notice the small drop in spin compared to the V1 or V1X.

Switched this year to the Pro V1x after doing a ball online chat with a Titleist rep. Not at all disappointed in the choice even if the jury is still out on whether the Pro V1x is the best ball for me. The chat was well worth the time in any case. Got a lot of good insight and info.

Yellow AVX, very durable and a little lower flight than the ProV’s—I’m hooked!
  4. Pro V1x yellow All Day

The season is in full swing, so we thought it would be a good time for a quick check-in with all of you to see which Titleist golf ball you've been teeing up this season. Let us know in the quick poll below.

As always, we'd love to hear any feedback about your ball - especially if you're playing a different model than before - or even stories about an amazing shot you've hit this season. So don't forget to add a comment to this thread.

We can't wait to see what you all have to say!

As a 72 y/o golfer I find that the True Feel ball gives me both added distance, and feel around the green.

    Great ball...great price!
  6. I have been using the Velocity High Vis. The ball just feels good at contact, and it's white glitter like finish allows me to focus easier on the shot. I wish it were still available this year.
  7. I am trying tour speed and tour soft at your staff's suggestion. I go back to true feel, as the ball gives me the best results. I still have Provo at home.
  8. I have been experimenting with various balls. I have been PROV1X player for quite some time but am having problems compressing it as I get older and my swing speed slows down. I tried the AVX for quite a while and liked it but recently have gone to the Pro Soft but the jury is still out.
Have tried some competitors balls but not satisfied and have gone back to the Titlest brand.
  9. I've been using the prov1x for years , I still have a lot
of the 2015 models , I haven't tried the 2021 model , what's the scoop on the left dash?

Switched to Prov1x earlier this year, getting better distance with the new TSi driver and 3 wood; still getting used to it with irons, but coming along well enough. My home course has made some changes to the rough, letting it grow up higher, shots just off the fairway by 2-6 feet are now hard to find your ball. Looking at maybe the Tour Speed for my course, won't be quite as painful as losing a 1x. Just bought a sleeve and will try out this weekend. The pro suggested something else, but I will stick with Titleist balls; these I can trust!
  11. Was playing the Tour Soft and liked playability for the cost. I received a sleeve of Tour Speed be and loved them so far.
  12. I had the pleasure to receive a few sleeves of the 2021 AVX from Titleist R & D .... LOVED them.

Longer carry and very soft feel for touch shots around the green.

I am looking forward to seeing them in the Pro Shop soon.

Pro V1 still the best all around ball for any game. No comparison.

ProV1. Softness around the green does it for me.
  15. I play the Tour Soft although I think Titleist could do better, especially, if you want to keep pace with TM & srxn in the $35 area. Tour Speed is OK but $5 per dozen overpriced. Titleist must know this because only 3% of people play it and that, frankly, is pretty lousy for a urethane cover ball. Also, Titleist advertised that Tour Speed was not in the same league as the Pro V’s.

I’m using the AVX this year. I find that I’m getting an additional 15 yards minimum with this ball from what I was using the past few years and I turned 64 years old in May.
  17. Titleist was gracious enough to send me a sleeve of the Tour Speed to try. I loved them!!! Was hitting my drives farther then my old ball (sorry Chrome Soft), was able to work the ball well, and got it to stop on drop on the greens well. It was a fairly windy day and the Tour Speed was able to hold the line and maintain a good ball flight. It's now my new ball of choice. Thanks Titleist.

I was stuck on Velocity, but, having tested Tour Speed and tried Tour Soft I'll take whichever I can get at the best price. All three balls work perfectly for me.

My ball flight is high, so I don’t need elevation. I’ve been playing the ProV1 since it came out and while I’d like more run-out, it’s still my fave. I’m a 6, and at 72years old I’m not changing!! W2Go Titlest!
  20. ProV1x for me. I’ve tried all the other Titleist offerings, but always come back home to the ProV.
